My name is Tyler Calvaruso I am a junior Journalism major at Seton Hall University. I am from Howell, New Jersey.

In May of 2016, I began writing for College Pride Press, a college basketball based website consisting strictly of college student contributors. During my time at CPP, I co-hosted a weekly podcast titled “CPP Gameday”, along with columns and voting in the weekly Top 25 poll.

In August of 2016, I became a staff writer in the sports section of The Setonian, Seton Hall’s official campus newspaper. After serving as a staff writer from August 2016-May 2017, I was promoted to Assistant Sports Editor and member of the editorial board in May of 2017. As of May 2018, I was promoted to Sports Editor.

I also serve as a staff writer for JetsWire, a USA TODAY Sports Media Group sponsored website covering the New York Jets, as well as a College Football and Basketball recruiting insider for 247Sports writing for EagleInsider, Boston College’s 247Sports website. I have also served as a contributing writer for Shore Sports Network, the Jersey Shore’s resource for High School sports in the Shore Conference.

On this blog, I will be exploring the connection between social media, journalism and public relations.
